Road closures announced at the Pharr Interchange
Road closures are set to go into effect on Monday and Tuesday night at the Pharr Interchange, according to a news release.
Dragados-Pulice Joint Venture — the company in charge of the Pharr Interchange project — announced the following closures that will go into effect on Monday, Nov. 25 and Tuesday, Nov. 26 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. on both days.
- I-2 westbound main lanes between the Raul Longoria Road exit ramp in San Juan, and Cage Boulevard, in Pharr. During this closure, the Harlingen to Edinburg direct connector will not be accessible.
- I-2 westbound main lanes between Jackson Avenue and McColl Road in McAllen
- I-2 eastbound main lane between the Sugar Road exit ramp in Pharr
- Raul Longoria Road, in San Juan. During this closure, the direct connectors from Edinburg to Harlingen and McAllen to Edinburg will not be accessible.
The I-2 eastbound frontage road between 2nd Street and McColl Road in McAllen will also be closed, the news released added.
The following underpasses will also be closed:
- McColl Road underpass at I-2
- Jackson Avenue underpass at I-2
- Cage Boulevard underpass at I-2
- Veterans Boulevard underpass at I-2
Detour signs will be in place to direct motorists through alternate routes, the news release added.
