PHARR – A local police department will soon allow you to report crime through a mobile app.

Some people might have doorbells with a camera, such as the Ring Video Doorbell.

As soon as someone approaches your front door, it starts recording.

Now, the Pharr Police Department plans to use Ring devices to fight crime.

The department will have a portal in the Neighbors by Ring, a secondary mobile app by the same company, that will directly report a crime.
