Weslaco East's Aiden Gonzalez signed his letter of intent to continue playing baseball at Our Lady of the Lake University.

"It feels amazing, this is just an extreme blessing," said Gonzalez on his signing.

Gonzalez was named the 2023 first team All-District outfielder and the 2024 second team All-District outfielder. He helped his team to a district championship in 2023 and 2025.

"This just goes to show all the hard work, all the late nights and all the support that I've gotten and to be able to play at the college that my older brother also played at it's just awesome and it shows a lot of dedication that my family's put in for me, the money that they've put in and just the hard work that goes with it," said Gonzalez.
