PHARR – Have you ever wanted to take on acting lessons?

The Pharr Community Theater is offering acting classes for adults over the summer.

During the six week course, students will gain essential skills while understanding script interpretation and character development.

The theater says students will learn how to deliver monologues and perform scenes ranging from classical to contemporary performance styles; all while understanding the history, politics and socioeconomic climate of a certain era.

The 90 minute classes start June 12 and run through July 20 every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

The class size is limited on a first come first serve basis.

The course costs $125 for the 18 hour workshop.

Classes for teens and children will be announced soon.

If you’re interested, the theater says you can call or text 956-655-9308. You can also message them on Facebook at the Pharr Community Theater Company page.
