SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - North Louisiana authorities are searching for two inmates who fled a minimum-security building in Caddo Parish.

Sheriff Steve Prator says 21-year-old Brenden Jackson and 20-year-old Kodie Byrne were discovered missing from the work release building during a head count about 11 p.m. Thursday. The building is separate from the main jail.

Both men are white with brown hair and green eyes. Jackson stands 6 feet, 4 inches and weighs about 250 pounds with a tattoo on his left arm; Byrne is about 6 feet, 1 inch and 180 pounds.

Both men have ties to Texas and could be in that state or still in the local area.

Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff's office or Caddo-Shreveport CrimeStoppers at 318-673-7373.
