Monte Alto ISD awarded over $530K as part of three-year state grant
Monte Alto ISD is getting state money to boost reading and math in its classrooms.
The Texas Education Agency awarded the district a three-year grant, with $533,000 coming in the first year alone.
The funds will go toward a new program called Bluebonnet Learning Portal, which will roll out district-wide. The grant will also cover teacher training.
"We need to prepare students for the future," Monte Alto ISD Superintendent Rashad Rana said. "Once we get the best instructional materials, leadership quality and teacher training, we'll provide the best instructional materials for students."
