Brownsville Veterans senior guard Brianna Barnes signed to join the women's basketball program at Coastal Bend College on Wednesday.

Barnes helped lead her team to two district titles in her time as Charger. She also took home District 32-6A Co-MVP honors this past season.

"Today means a lot to me," Barnes said. "It shows how much hard work I've put into basketball and it's my dream since I was a little girl. It's just my dream finally coming true."

Barnes is the 5th girls basketball player in program history to play at a collegiate level from Brownsville Veterans.
