Hidalgo, TX (KRGV) — Ramon Ayala Jr. surrendered to police in Hidalgo on a sexual assault charge, according to an arrest report obtained by Channel 5 News.

A criminal complaint says Ayala Jr. was arrested after a man accused him of sexual assault on a tour bus in 2025.

According to Hidalgo County jail records, Ayala Jr. was arrested on Friday, Oct. 23, on a charge of sexual assault. He was released the same day on a $2,000 bond.

The complaint says officers spoke with the alleged victim on June 3, 2026. The unidentified man said he was at the residence of Ramon Ayala Sr. on Aug. 10, 2025, and was aboard the tour bus "El Bravo" when Ayala Jr. grabbed him around the waist, reached inside his shorts, and sexually assaulted him.

The victim said he tried to resist and push Ayala Jr. away and that Ayala Jr. groped his genitals.

Ayala Jr. is facing four lawsuits, three of which were filed by former band members, accusing him of sexually assaulting and harassing them multiple times while the band was touring from 2024 to 2025.

The lawsuits name Ramon Ayala Jr., his father, and the band Ramón Ayala y Sus Bravos del Norte.

It wasn't immediately clear if the man pressing charges was among the four who filed a lawsuit against Ayala Jr.

Hidalgo County court records indicate a trial for one of the lawsuits is set for December 2026. Two other lawsuits are scheduled for trial in January and March 2027, while a date for the fourth has not yet been set.
