Brittany Mireles is a Texas native from San Antonio. She graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio with a bachelor's in Meteorology from the School of Science, Mathematics and Engineering. After graduating, she moved to East Texas to forecast for KYTX in Tyler, Texas. During her time in East Texas, she worked as a meteorologist and covered severe weather such as tornados and hurricanes. She also worked there as a Multimedia Journalist, where she connected with the community through breaking news and storytelling.
Brittany isn't a stranger to the Valley. She and her family have made regular trips to visit the Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan since she was a small child. She would also visit the island often when she was younger.
When Brittany is not working, she loves to give back to the community and spend time with her family. She is passionate about introducing and cultivating a desire with young women to pursue a career the STEM fields.
