Valley Man Says City Revealed Anonymous Complaint to Neighbor
EDINBURG – A Rio Grande Valley man is now concerned after making an anonymous complaint to the city.
He says he made a complaint to the city of Edinburg about the noise and clutter near his home; he says the complaint was revealed to the person causing these nuisances.
He made a visit to city hall to question the situation but didn’t get very far.
"No, well, we already asked the person that we sent out there and he said, ‘No, he didn't say nothing’. So that’s it. That’s all that’s going to happen," he explains.
KRGV’s John Paul Barajas reached out to the city and received a statement that reads in part:
"The concerned resident called our office yesterday with a different concern, that his information was released during the code enforcement investigation, and we are currently investigating this situation, which is not a practice in our organization to release any information. All calls are considered anonymous and we don't share any information on any particular case."
