The UTRGV men's and women's golf teams are heading to the NCAA Tournament. The women's team will find out the regional they'll be competing in this Wednesday for the tournament. 

Today the men's team took to the course in McAllen to practice after securing the first Southland Conference Championship in program history.

"I think there's been a tremendous improvement throughout the program through the last 4 years, and it's just a testament to them and their work ethic and what they bring each day out to the golf course," said UTRGV men's golf head coach, Houston Moore.

On April 22, UTRGV hoisted the Conference title trophy, just one week after the women's golf program claimed their SLC title win on their side of things. 

The men's team will have to wait until next week to find out the regional they will be placed in. 

"I believe we prepare for every tournament the same way and give it our all so just keep moving forward and treat it like another tournament and not put to much pressure on ourselves will probably go long ways for us," said UTRGV men's golfer, Esteban Gonzalez.
