Texas Comptroller closes Crunch Fitness in Pharr over nearly $400K in unpaid taxes
The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts confirmed it closed Crunch Fitness in Pharr due to delinquent taxes.
According to a Texas Comptroller spokesperson, the gym owes a total of $398,133.76 in delinquent taxes accumulated between September 2019 and July 2025.
The Texas Department of Public Safety assisted with the closure on Friday at the gym, located at 500 North Jackson Road.
The Texas Comptroller spokesperson said the agency tried to work with the business owners to pay off the debt before placing a lien on the property.
