Stanley Black & Decker is expanding in Mission and bringing up to 100 jobs to the Rio Grande Valley.

The company is set up at the Mission Expressway Business Park and makes tools and plastic parts.

Some of that work has been done in Mexico. Now it's coming back to the U.S.

"There's been a trend for the Valley to recruit more manufacturing, and in this case especially from Mexico, because of the geopolitical issues that are at play," Mission Economic Development Corporation CEO Teclo Garcia said. "Perhaps tariffs, perhaps increased production, and moving those production lines to the U.S.,"

Pay will range from $16 to $30 an hour.

The company expects the expansion to be finished by the end of the year.
