AEP Texas and Magic Valley Electric Cooperative are reporting outages affecting a total of 10,284 customers as of Sunday morning.

The majority of these outages are in Hidalgo County, with nearly 9,300 customers affected.

Earlier, at around 9 a.m. Sunday, over 18,000 outages were reported across the Rio Grande Valley.

Restoration efforts are underway in multiple cities as the area sees scattered showers throughout the day.
