Early election results show incumbent Henry Cuellar leading in District 28 Democratic race
Early election results show that incumbent Henry Cuellar is leading in the Congressional District 28 race.
Voting numbers show Cuellar has 20,210, or more than 53 percent of early votes. Cuellar has held the seat for nearly 20 years.
Two other candidates are also on the ballot. Ricardo Villarreal has 15,586, or more than 41 percent of votes and Andrew Vantine has 1,952, or more than five percent of votes.

The winner of the primary will face a Republican candidate in November.
