Brownsville ISD announces school delay due to cold front in the forecast
The Brownsville Independent School District will implement a delayed start to the school day on Monday due to near freezing temperatures in the forecast.
The district announced that on Monday, Jan. 26, all elementary classes will start at 10 a.m., all middle school classes will begin at 9:40 a.m., and high school classes will start at 10:45 a.m.

According to the announcement made on Thursday, morning bus routes will pick up students two hours later than their regularly scheduled time.
All staff will report to their campus at their regular start time.
All after-school activities scheduled for Monday will continue as planned, the district added.
