SpaceX scrubbed its 12th test flight for the Starship rocket.

The launch was set to serve as the rocket’s first flight of the year and the first launch from its new pad.

A 90-minute launch window opened on Thursday, May 21, at 5:30 p.m., and SpaceX attempted to launch at 6:30 p.m. After nearly 12 minutes from that launch attempt, SpaceX announced they were standing down.

SpaceX has not announced the cause of the scrub.

A viewing party for the launch was held at the site of the old Port Isabel causeway, with people from as far as Kentucky and Australia in attendance.

The flight was meant to serve as the debut of the next-generation Starship and Super Heavy vehicles, powered by the next evolution of the Raptor engine, SpaceX announced.

The company said they will attempt another launch on Friday.
