The UTRGV women's basketball team is set to host No. 2 Texas this Wednesday at Bert Ogden Arena, with this being the third time in program history the Vaqueros get to play against the Longhorns in Edinburg. 

The team led by head coach Lane Lord comes in having faced two Power 4 conference opponents earlier in the season and will rely on that experience to be able to go toe-to-toe with Texas that has won 10 games in a row against other top ranked teams.

"It's just a great opportunity for our players to play the best in the country right here in our home town," Lord said. "Just so excited for the opportunity and for our players and coaches and our community and our student body, so it's going to be a fun night and we're excited about it."

Tip-off between UTRGV and Texas at Bert Ogden Arena is on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
