UTRGV head football coach Travis Bush is among the finalists for the Eddie Robinson Award. It honors the top coach of the year at the FCS level. Bush is among 15 finalists nationwide for the award. 

He led the Vaqueros to a 9-3 overall record in the program's inaugural season. One of the best records of all-time for a first-year program. UTRGV is the only inaugural team to go undefeated at home, as the Vaqueros finished 7-0 when playing in Edinburg.

Bush was named the first head football coach in UTRGV history on December 12th, 2022. He has 14 years of NCAA Division 1 college coaching experience as an assistant. He also has eight years of high school coaching experience in Texas, plus one season of an NFL staff.

The winner for the award will be announced on December 4th.
