The Vaqueros return home to face the Lamar Cardinals on Halloween night in conference play on homecoming night.

The team is coming off an overtime road win against Central Arkansas. Lamar is the second ranked opponent the Vaqueros have hosted this year.

Last year, the Vaqueros lost to Lamar on the road when kicker Ben Woodard hit a 57-yard field goal, the longest in program history. The Vaqueros have not forgotten that game.

“Going out there and doing our job every play and just going out there and having fun. We lost last year. Yes it’s going to give us some motivation especially losing off a 53 field goal so going out there and having fun playing with a chip on our shoulder and protecting the Vack at the end of the day,” Jaiden Haygood said.
