TSTC to hold Friday active shooter training
The TSTC Police Department is ensuring campus staff members are prepared for a worst case scenario.
Campus police are set to hold an active shooter training on Friday, Sept. 22.
TSTC police Sgt. Michael Salinas said it’s important to talk about what to expect when law enforcement shows up in the case of an active shooter.
Topics that will be covered in the training include how to avoid the shooter and self-defense.
More trainings will be conducted throughout the year, with one set for next month.
