The South Padre Island Birding Nature & Alligator Sanctuary is inviting the community to celebrate Big Padre’s 59th birthday!

The sanctuary will hold an end-of-summer bash to mark the occasion on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Big Padre is the sanctuary’s oldest alligator, and his birthday bash will include an alligator-themed piñata.
