McAllen, TX (KRGV) — Early voting is underway for the midterm election, and some voters may be in a different congressional district after last year's redistricting.

The congressional maps were redrawn last year, and new territories were added to Districts 15, 28, and 34.

McAllen resident Raquel Oliva said she was not sure which congressional district she belonged to after the redistricting. She said she previously belonged to Congressional District 15 but now falls within District 28.

"I went into the county lookup program, and I was able to put in my name and address, and they told me who was on the ballot," Oliva said.

Oliva encourages other voters to check their information before heading to the polls. Voters who are unsure which congressional district they belong to can check their sample ballot to see which congressional candidates are on it.

Early voting ends on Oct. 30. Election Day is Nov. 3.
