MISSION – A Mission woman is concerned about trees crowding into overhead wires near her home.

She says it could cause trouble in her neighborhood.

"When the tree trimmer came out, he was unable to trim these trees because the tree branches are up in the power lines,” explains Mission resident Joyce Johnson.

Johnson says she reached out to a local power company and placed multiple work orders over the past month.

She says nothing has been cut and the trees are still growing so she called 5 ON YOUR SIDE for help.

KRGV’s John Paul Barajas contacted Spectrum to resolve the issue.

A spokesperson for the cable provider, Kristen Eastman, says they’d be happy to come out and determine if the wire is theirs.

She explains it’s not as dangerous as a power line breaking since it is not a live wire.
