HARLINGEN – A Rio Grande Valley family says they are out thousands of dollars after the death of Grupo Mazz’s lead singer, Jimmy Gonzalez.
In March, the Ramirez family hired the group for a quinceañera in December.
Unfortunately, Gonzalez died in June and they were left stuck due to the wording on the contract.
After multiple attempts to get answers failed, the Ramirez’s called 5 On Your Side for help.
KRGV’s Angelo Vargas asked an attorney what options the family has to recover some, if not all, of their money.
