The Brownsville Animal Regulation and Care Center has a new plan to help with animal control in 2025.

Next year, BARCC plans to launch a low cost spay and neuter clinic for the public.

They said last year and this year, the center spayed and neutered around 1,100 animals. With this new plan they hope to see a difference.

"We know that it's much needed. It'll help us, it'll help the public. An animal that's spay and neutered has a longer life, they're healthier, so it's actually good for everyone involved," BARCC Health Wellness and Animal Services Deputy Director Antonio Caldwell said.

Caldwell says depending on the size of the dog or cat, services will range between $100 to $150 for the public.
