Edinburg IDEA state finalist golfer Mau Solar commits to Midland College

Edinburg IDEA's Mau Solar signed to join the golf program at Midland College on Friday afternoon.
"In the sports world, in school, a lot of people showed up," Solar said. "It comes to show how much love and support they have for me and how much support I get going into this next stage, going to Midland College."
Solar shined with the Edinburg IDEA golf program, which he and his family helped start.
The star golfer made multiple appearances at the state tournament, including a fifth-place finish in the 3A state tournament earlier this week.
"A week that many dream of," Solar said. "I know I didn't get the finish I want at state, but I got to go compete. Represent my school for the third time in a row. This singing is just that, there's so much more that I can give to the game and give back to my community."
