Sandra Rodriguez
Sandra Rodriguez joined the KRGV news team in July 2021. She co-anchors Channel 5 News this Morning and also reports for Channel 5 News.
Sandra is from Pennsylvania but is thrilled to call South Texas her new home!
Before arriving to the Valley, Sandra worked as a reporter in Fort Myers, Florida. While in Fort Myers, she covered a wide range of stories, including the high-profile Sievers' murder trial and how the pandemic impacted local farming communities. Sandra got her start in Yuma, Arizona, where she shot, wrote, and edited her own stories. While in Yuma, Sandra got to cover many stories relating to immigration and the border crisis.
Sandra is of Mexican descent and is fluent in Spanish. While not at work, Sandra enjoys exploring the city, trying new restaurants, reading, and dancing. Last but not least, Sandra loves spending time with her Boston Terrier, Mickey!
