SOUTH PADRE ISLAND – Local residents say coyotes are becoming a problem at a local park.
This season at the Isla Blanca Park is seeing a lot more coyotes.
Cameron county parks director Joe Vega says his office is getting more calls about the coyotes.
He says the county will be contacting the United States Department of Agriculture to set traps in the area to try to control the problem.
According to Vega, there hasn’t been an incident in which a person was attacked by a coyote yet.
