PHARR – A woman with disabilities claims she’s being evicted from her apartment.
Maria Salinas says she met her friend Maria Flores when they were neighbors at the Garden Apartments.
Salinas says she was asked to leave after a toilet clog.
She says she received a letter from property management giving her 30 days to leave the premises after complaining about the clogged toilet.
KRGV’s Trason Bragg spoke to the Executive director of the Pharr housing authority Noel De Leon.
De Leon says his department can only fight for tenants who report a problem.
He says his office's phones lines are always open.
Salinas says she has found a new home and is planning on filling a suit against her former apartment.
