BROWNSVILLE – Standing water has become an issue on one street in Brownsville.

Resident Connie Resendez says the standing water tends to stick around near her home, though her neighbors aren’t facing the same issue.

She says she doesn’t understand why the city took her storm drain away several years ago.

Brownsville has faced outbreaks of both Zika and dengue in recent years.

She says the city came out and claims to have fixed it but she says the water still stands.

KRGV’s Christian von Preysing has the details.
