Pharr Mayor Ambrosio "Amos" Hernandez is scheduled to discuss the city's progress during the past year and plans for the future Thursday during his annual State of the City address.

"Pharr is a city poised for dynamic growth and I am proud to be working together with you, our partners, to ensure that we continue this trajectory," Hernandez said in an open letter to the community. "As the Mayor of Pharr, I have taken great pride in ensuring the success of our city, while also helping our communities across the Rio Grande Valley in realizing our power in numbers through regionalization efforts, advocacy, and representation at the local, state, and national levels. When we work together, we can accomplish amazing things for our Rio Grande Valley communities!"
