EDINBURG – An Edinburg man is seeking answers after his bank account was wiped out. He says checks were cashed out in states he has never visited.

Back in October, Jaime Luna attempted to use his Bank of America card, but it got declined. When he called the bank, they said it was because of a block due to a check he supposedly tried to cash.

The checks popped up in four different branches in Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, Maryland totaling $8,000.

With different but similar name, Luna says someone managed to leave him with no money, which was his lifesavings. He wonders why the bank did not notice the fraud.

The bank will not give Luna an answer whether he will see his money back until the investigation is complete. Edinburg police are investigating.
