Suspect Wanted for Attempted Murder in Starr Co. Surrenders to Authorities

NEAR RIO GRANDE CITY - Starr County Sheriff's Office reports a man they were looking for in connection to a shooting turned himself in. 

Ivan Zamora, 31, is accused of shooting his cousin, Gonzalo Elizondo, 31, early Sunday morning.

Elizondo was shot in the left arm, hip and thigh.

He was in critical condition but has since been released from the hospital. 

Zamora is now facing charges of attempted murder in Starr County.
