Residency Applications to Open Next Month for 2 Nationalities
WESLACO – Two kinds of nationalities will soon have a chance to apply for their residency next month.
Filipino nurses and physical therapists will soon see a window of opportunity to apply in June; the spouses of Mexican legal permanent residents will also have the same chance.
CHANNEL 5 NEWS spoke to immigration attorney Jaime Diez.
He explains the quota is broken into several categories divided by nationalities.
“The moments that you file for adjustment, those children, that wife, are going to be able to get their own employment authorization, be able to get their social security,” says Diez.
More information will be posted as part of the Visa bulletin the government puts out regularly.
