EDINBURG – Take a dog on a field trip! That’s what Palm Valley Animal Center’s new program will soon allow people to do.

PVAC announced their Tails Around Town foster field trip program that will launch Mar. 10.

According to their website, the program invites the community to take shelter dogs on outings.

People will be allowed to foster dogs “from a couple of hours to a half day.”

This is a way to help PVAC gain potential adopters, as well as to see the dogs happy.

Participants need to be 18 years of age or older, present a valid photo ID and will need to sign an agreement upon checking out a furry friend.

Anyone interested in taking a dog out on the town can email PVAC at foster@pvactx.org to sign up.
