Program Providing Valley Veterans Lifesaving Services
EDINBURG – A program helping to keep hundreds of veterans’ lights on is also seeking to provide lifesaving services.
The Hidalgo County Community Service Agency has helped more than 300 veterans with their utility bills through the Operation Bravo Zulu program.
In 2017, the service stopped, then last year it started again. This year, it’s making a big difference.
The program allows veterans to get up to $600 in assistance. The Hidalgo County CSA staff also looks at other areas of concern to refer the veteran to the Veterans Affairs or other organizations.
To learn if you’re eligible for the Bravo Zulu program, visit the CSA website here.
