HARLINGEN - The final week of the high school baseball regular season is here. It's that time of the year when teams are in a frenzy to secure playoff spots and district titles.

With a win Tuesday, Harlingen could have earned their first district title since 2003, but Rivera spoiled the Cardinals' night, rallying for a 7-5 victory. 

Friday's rematch between both teams will now be for the outright title in 32-6A. 

Other highlights from the diamond Tuesday saw Brownsville Veterans, the 32-5A champ, knock off Lopez 8-5.
