A female student at Sgt. Harrell Middle School is facing charges.

Mercedes police say the student posted a threat on social media about shooting up the school.

The girl, who's said to be a juvenile, is facing several charges, including making a terroristic threat.

She's being held at the juvenile detention center in Edinburg.
