Friday is the deadline for businesses and people affected by Hurricane Hanna to file physical damage claims with the U.S. Small Business Administration.

The administration offers three types of disaster loans:

  2. Economic Injury Disaster Loans, which provide working capital to small businesses and non-profit organizations harmed by a disaster
  3. Home Disaster Loans, which provide homeowners and renters with money to repair or replace damaged property.

Businesses and people in Hidalgo County, Cameron County, Starr County, Willacy County, Brooks County and Kenedy County are eligible to apply for the loans.

Friday is the deadline to file a physical damage claim with the administration. June 2021 is the deadline to file an economic injury claim.
