WESLACO – A teenage boy is back in the care of the state after running away from his foster home.

His father, Abel Sosa, says the teen has run away three times while under the care of Child Protective Services.

“When my son ran away the first time, the first thing that came into my head, ‘am I going to get that call that something happened to him’," says Sosa.

He says he has asked for help through social media in the past to find his son.

Now he asks for help from Child Protective Services.

The state runs a hotline for youth in trouble and worried families.

Those in need can contact 512-872-5777 to be connected with people who can help.
