NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Country duo Maddie & Tae broke out in 2014 with their roasting of gender stereotypes in country music on their debut single, "Girl in a Country Song," but their label closed before they released a second album.

Nearly four years after their first album, Maddie Marlow and Taylor Dye are releasing their first EP on their new label Mercury Nashville called "One Heart to Another," on April 26. A full album will be released later this year.

The 23-year-old singer-songwriters didn't want people labeling them a one-hit wonder and they delved deep into emotional songs about love, rejection and vulnerability.

And while the gender disparity problems on country radio have gotten worse since their debut, Maddie & Tae have found support for their music on satellite radio and streaming platforms.
