MISSION- The city of Mission is celebrating its first official win of the All America City award.

Officials posted on Facebook Sunday that the win was in honor of fallen Corporal Jose Espericueta.

The All America City award is given by the National Civic League.

It's said to be for cities addressing critical issues, while also creating stronger connections among residents, businesses and non-profit and government leaders.
