MCALLEN – Whether you drive or walk, every day, millions cross Rio Grande Valley ports of entry and are greeted by Customs and Border Protection officers.

CBP’s ultimate duty is to detect crime entering the U.S. to the best of their ability.

Now, with upgrades underway at the Pharr International Bridge, Anzalduas Bridge and Hidalgo port of entry, the agency is hoping traffic and processing will run more efficiently.

Some of the projects are expected to be complete by next summer.
