SANTA ROSA - A Cameron County judge is issuing an apology two days after a heated exchange with flood victims.

When our CHANNEL 5 NEWS team tried to attend that meeting, we were kicked out.

Several people who attended that meeting gave us audio recordings of what was said behind those closed doors.

We listened and compared all of them to verify the accuracy.

The people who went to the meeting looking for answers were frustrated with their leadership.

"Do you want help, or do you just want to b---," said Cameron County Judge Eddie Treviño.

The judge in a statement released today said,

"In a moment of frustration, I made a comment that was inappropriate. For that I am truly sorry."

In that closed meeting Cameron County presented plans for a new flood control district.

They left some residents confused with how it would be funded.
