3 Valley Car Dealership Employees Indicted for Wire Fraud

MCALLEN – Three former Rio Grande Valley dealership employees have been indicted by a federal grand jury on fraud charges.

According to a release, 44-year-old Ronnie Joe Gomez of Pharr, 44-year-old David Salinas of McAllen and 50-year-old George Villanueva of San Antonio were arrested Thursday in connection to a long-running plot to defraud companies.

All three men were charged with wire fraud.

They’re accused of arranging plans to defraud financial institutions by submitting falsified proof of their customers’ income to purchase motor vehicles, according to a release.

Each face up to 20 years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000 if they’re convicted.
